Dr. Kwan Hwa Park is a professor emeritus at Seoul National University in Seoul, Korea, where he has taught for the last 33 years and served as director at the Research Center for New Biomaterials in Agriculture. Park has also served as a member of the Governing Council of the International Union of Food Science and Technology (IUFoST). His research activities include studies on the mechanism and application of various amylases and glucosyl transferases. He has edited two books on carbohydrate-active enzymes and published more than 270 peer-reviewed papers. Currently, he is employed as a visiting professor at the Institute of Food Science and Technology in Fuzhou University, China.
