Paul Wehling

Paul Wehling received a Bachelor of Chemistry degree from the University of Minnesota in 1982.  His first job in the food industry was as a forklift operator in a food warehouse in St. Paul.  He was hired by General Mills in August 1983 as an analytical chemist in the gas chromatography lab in Minneapolis.  In the intervening 34 years, he has worked as a bench analyst, method developer, lab supervisor, quality engineer, and a technical consultant.  His special area of interest is the intersecting fields of probability, statistics, and analytical chemistry.  He has been volunteering for AACCI since 2000, when he volunteered as statistical advisor for the Approved Methods Committees.  He has served on several committees since then.  Currently he chairs the Enhancements Review Committee and is vice-chair of the Approved Methods Technical Committee.  When not at work, Paul enjoys gardening and playing traditional Irish music on the mandolin.
