History
The Pioneer Section of the Cereals & Grains Association was a pioneer among local sections of the National organization. The earliest beginnings were manifested in the friendships formed through early work in the Cereals & Grains Association and the common interests of the earliest workers in the flour mill and cereal laboratories of the southwest, especially in the Kansas wheat belt.
Pioneer Section Awards
The Pioneer Section has a long standing tradition within the milling industry of monitoring each chemist's result through a monthly flour check sample. Individual results are kept and reviewed within the organization and those that closely match the average results are honored annually from the Pioneer Section.
