Sustainable development is often used to describe “green” practices and has quickly become an issue of importance to customer/supplier relationships and consumers. The sustainability umbrella is very large and can quickly overwhelm business managers. The baking industry is embracing sustainability as a means to focus its resources, improve efficiencies, and reduce waste.
